Meet yiour Alumni Hosts
Vic Briseno, an NMT graduate from the class of 2011 in Chemical Engineering and 2013 in Materials
Engineering, brings his love for pizza and games to Albuquerque. His passion for both
started at home, where Monopoly games against his dad would take over the dining room
table for days (much to his mother’s dismay). Raised in the family pizzeria in Grants,
NM, which has been serving up delicious pizza for 20 years, Vic grew up with a deep
appreciation for great food. In college, he was introduced to the world of hobby board
games, with Settlers of Catan being his gateway game. After completing his studies
and gaining experience in manufacturing, Vic is now combining his passions for pizza,
games, and good times in Albuquerque!
Mercedes Donio, an NMT graduate from the class of 2014 in Chemical Engineering, developed a love
for craft beer through enjoying beers with her dad and eventually brewing some of
their own. Her passion for games also stems from family, with favorites like Rummy,
Backgammon, and a family heirloom game called "Spite or Malice." A native of Albuquerque,
Mercedes has worked as a brewer at both Ex Novo Brewing and Bosque Brewing, and has
a special place in her heart for New Mexico’s vibrant brewery scene. She now curates
a selection of the best beers the state has to offer, showcasing her expertise and
love for local craft brews.
